INDIA Seat Sharing News: The involvement of Trinamool Congress (TMC), the ruling party of West Bengal, in the Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra, which is being led by former Congress Chief Rahul Gandhi, is currently under question. The party has stated unequivocally that Didi's party will not take part in the Nyaya Yatra unless the opposition INDIA alliance in West Bengal's seat sharing formula with the Congress and other parties is decided.
Senior TMC leaders have reportedly stated that before the party leaders can join the Nyaya Yatra when it arrives in Bengal, the Congress must first resolve the issue of seat sharing in Bengal, according to a report in the English newspaper The Hindu.

TMC seeks to award INC two West Bengal seats:
If party sources are to be believed, Chief Minister Banerjee clarified the issue of seat allocation in Bengal during the December 19 India Alliance conference. Only two seats in Bengal, which the party had won in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, are allegedly being offered to the Congress.

Bengal will welcome Nyay Yatra on January 27:
The Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, which began on January 14 in Manipur in the northeast, is being led by Rahul Gandhi. On January 27, the yatra will arrive in West Bengal and remain there for five days. In a request to join the yatra, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has written to the leaders of every party in the India alliance.

What was said by Rahul Gandhi?
Rahul Gandhi responded to a query on seat sharing in Bengal and other states by saying that discussions are ongoing and a resolution will be reached. Gandhi said, "The conversations are progressing really nicely. Let's investigate further into the subject. I have no doubt that we will find a solution to this problem."

In the state of Mamata Banerjee, this is the case:
The TMC, led by Mamata Banerjee, won 22 of the 42 Lok Sabha seats available in the 2019 elections, while the Congress won two seats (Behrampur and Malda South). The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), however, had taken home 18 seats. But for the past few days, the two parties have been engaged in a verbal battle. TMC wants to distribute only the seats that Congress has already won, whereas Congress wants to conduct elections for a minimum of six seats. In order to find a solution, the leaders of the two parties are debating this issue.
