New Delhi: According to the police on Thursday, four villagers from the Bishnupur district—including a father and son pair—were kidnapped and murdered by suspected Kuki rebels in the nearby Churachandpur district of Manipur. According to the Imphal police official, the victims had gone to the Churachandpur district's neighboring jungles on Wednesday to seek firewood when the terrorists kidnapped and killed them.On Thursday, the bodies of the victims were retrieved by the Kumbi police squad in the Bishnupur district. The names of the deceased were Romen Singh (38), Dara Singh (37), and Ibomcha Singh (51), together with his son Anand Singh (20). The bodies were discovered by the locals on a social networking platform used by several Kuki organizations, and they notified the police.The police have begun their hunt.
