In case the defeat in the first Test match against England wasn't enough for concern, Ravindra Jadeja's injury is yet another setback for India. The Indian all-rounder could miss the second Test in Visakhapatnam because of a hamstring problem, according to a report. Jadeja was observed to be having some hamstring issues when Ben Stokes ran him out in the second innings. In less than four days, on February 2, the second Test will begin, and Jadeja is a questionable starter.

While not disclosing too much about Jadeja's ailment, India's head coach Rahul Dravid did said he will speak with the physiotherapist shortly. Rahul stated, "We'll see," at the news conference held following the game. I must admit that I haven't gotten a chance to talk to the physiotherapist yet. I'll talk to him when I get back to find out what's going on."

The problem with hamstring strains is that full recovery takes a long time. The severity of the injury will determine when Jadeja can return. However, a player should often be given a week off to heal from it. Regretfully, there isn't much time between the Vizag and Hyderabad tests. Not to mention, Jadeja suffered a back spasm last month, which prevented her from playing in a Test in South Africa. Because injuries can result in extended layoffs, Jadeja and the management will want to avoid taking any chances.

Kuldeep to participate in the second Test?
It is obvious that there would be some changes to the Indian playing eleven for the second Test after the team was defeated despite having a commanding first innings advantage. However, Jadeja's injury has all but guaranteed that left-arm wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav will play in the starting eleven. Given their desire to win the series and their desire to take advantage of the host team's advantages, India is also expected to prepare a sharp turner in Visakhapatnam. India will make an effort to provide a solid foundation for their top spinners, R Ashwin, Kuldeep, and Axar Patal.

A valiant effort by the England batsmen in the second innings stunned Team India, and a remarkable performance from the group will be required to win the second Test and even the series at one. India will have more opportunities to make amends because the series consists of five matches.
