A monkey made an unexpected appearance during the Ayodhya Ram Mandir's grand opening! Only one day after the "Pran Pratishtha" ceremony, a monkey entered the sanctum sanctorum of the freshly constructed Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, which is home to the renowned idol of Ram Lalla, according to the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra trust. Referring to the event as "Hanuman ji himself coming to see Ramlala (the infant Ram deity consecrated on January 22)," they quickly learned that these primate visits were not unusual occurrences, but rather a common occurrence in Ram temples across the country.

While the country rejoiced over the long-awaited arrival of Lord Ram in Ayodhya after almost 500 years, rumour has it that monkeys, following in the footsteps of the Ramayana's Hanuman, went on pilgrimages to honor their god, Ram, not only in Ayodhya but also in several other cities. A recent viral video showed a monkey climbing the holy pedestal at a temple full of worshippers. The monkey reportedly rose to the idols of Lord Ram, Sita, and Laxman in Lonavala, Maharashtra, as worshippers knelt and chanted, "Jai Shree Ram" and "Jai Shree Hanuman" in awe.

The caption for a post on said, "The monkey who visited the temple did not touch the bananas or anything else provided to eat. He simply sat close to Lord Shri Ram, touched his feet, and left. The internet expressed amazement at the unexplained yet tangible connection, conjecturing that it was a sighting of Hanuman, who had arrived to take part in the joyous festivities honoring his Lord Ram.

That wasn't all, though. On January 22, the auspicious day of the Ram Mandir's inauguration, a second video went viral and stunned social media users. A langur was seen among a crowd of worshippers at a yajna vedi that was dedicated to Shree Ram naam-jap. The caption summarised the magical moment at the Lakshmeshwar temple in Karnataka as "Hanuman Dada ke anek roop"—the various incarnations of Lord Hanuman.
